The 2nd Landscape Management Special Class has begun!

This program is being implemented by Takeuchi Teien Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the National University of Laos (NUOL) and LJI. utilizing the AOTS Industry-Academia collaborative Program, and this year marks its second year. The opening ceremony was held on June 24, attended by approximately 40 participants, including students and teachers from Faculties of Architecture and Forestry of NUOL

Following the opening ceremony, lectures and practical sessions on landscape management and university campus master planning were held on June 24–25, led by Professor Masami KOBAYASHI, Professor Emeritus at Meiji University and Visiting Professor at the NUOL. During the practical sessions, students worked in groups to develop proposals for the NUOL campus plan. On June 26, Dr. Phonekeo CHANTHAMALY, Director of LJI, delivered lectures covering Japanese culture, history, and business practices.

The program runs until July 9, and includes lectures and practical training on the Japanese language and landscaping. As part of the practical training, a new garden will be created in the LJI courtyard. Additionally, as internships at Takeuchi Teien Co., Ltd in Japan are planned for outstanding students, the participants are engaging in the program with great enthusiasm.
