Hello everyone!
My name is Mao Kiriyama, and I am a second-year student in the School of International Studies at Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan. Since September, I have been working as an intern at the Laos-Japan Institute (LJI).
At university, I study international society and intercultural understanding. I have also been involved in activities such as planning events, creating content for social media, and learning about Japanese language education.
During my internship at LJI, I hope to take part in a variety of activities, including Japanese language education, cultural exchange, and public relations. I would like to build on the activities and ideas developed by previous interns while also bringing my own experiences and ideas to create new opportunities that connect LJI, Laos, and Japan.
As this is my first time living in Laos, I am both excited and a little nervous about this new experience. I am truly grateful to everyone at LJI for welcoming me so warmly. I hope to make the most of every encounter and experience, and to contribute to LJI to the best of my ability.
I hope that through my activities, I can help strengthen the connections between Laos and Japan, while also learning from the people and experiences I encounter here. I look forward to taking on new challenges, enjoying my time in Laos, and making the most of this valuable opportunity.
